Here are the pre-requisite for the autocomplete rule in Oracle Fusion HCM,<\/p>\n

- \u201cAutocomplete Rules\u201d rules will apply only to responsive pages and not to classic ones.<\/li>\n
- Also, the autocomplete rules are under controlled availability. The customer\/partner should raise an SR to request access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
How to Implement Autocomplete Rules in Oracle Fusion HCM:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Here we will demonstrate how to default the \u201cProbation Period Field\u201d in autocomplete rules to a constant value in a step-by-step process.<\/p>\n
Step 1:<\/strong> Log in to the application with a user (user having access to create Sandbox) and then we would need to create a sandbox.<\/p>\n
Step 2:<\/strong> Once we click on Sandbox a new page will open where we can choose the tools and create a sandbox.<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong> Next we need to navigate to Home Page and Click on \u201cHCM Experience Design Studio\u201d.<\/p>\n

Step 4:<\/strong> Once we click on the link (highlighted in yellow in the above screenshot) new page will open and we should choose the \u201cAutocomplete Rules\u201d. There are different actions against which we can choose the Autocomplete Rules and they would appear on the drop-down list on the work area.<\/p>\n

Step 5:<\/strong> Also there are different types of autocomplete rules which can be created in Oracle Fusion HCM. They are<\/p>\n

- Add Business Object Defaulting Rule<\/li>\n
- Add Business Object Validation Rule<\/li>\n
- Add Business Object Field Validation Rules<\/li>\n
- Add Business Object Field Modification Rules<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

In Autocomplete rules, \u201cAdd Business Object Field Validation Rules\u201d allows us for various validations based on the data value stored in a business object field. \u201cAdd Business Object Validation Rule\u201d allow us to restrict various future related transactions against any actions.<\/p>\n
Step 6:<\/strong> In this step, we will create the Business Object Defaulting Rule. For this example, we would choose \u201cWork Assignment\u201d and \u201cAdd Business Object Defaulting Rule\u201d. Once we click on those a new page will appear. We would need to populate the following fields.<\/p>\n

Step 7:<\/strong> In this step, we will create a new employee and check whether the Probation Period Field gets defaulted. Navigating to the New Hire page.<\/p>\n

Step 8:<\/strong> After entering the \u201cPersonal and Basic Details\u201d section when we navigate to the \u201cEmployment Information\u201d section we can see the Probation Period value gets defaulted.<\/p>\n
