Introduction to Wellness in Oracle HCM<\/h2>\n
“Health is Wealth<\/strong>” \u2013 This proverb holds a lot of importance in current busy schedules. Even organizations get employees actively involved in wellness programs. Despite putting in time and resources, it’s tough to motivate staff. This lack of interest can be due to not knowing enough about the wellness program, thinking there’s not enough time, or being unsure if it works. To tackle this problem, organizations need to communicate better. Using different ways to share information and highlighting the program’s benefits can generate interest. Regular updates and personalized messages can make employees more interested and willing to join in.<\/p>\n
To keep employees updated, Oracle has introduced a tool called Oracle HCM Wellness. This \ntool encourages employees by monitoring their activities regularly and boosting them to participate in organizational programs.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Enhancing Wellness in Oracle HCM through Smart Watch Integration:<\/h3>\n
This Wellness integration can be used to track the employee’s daily fitness activities such as steps walked, calories burned, distance covered, and time spent on fitness activities.<\/p>\n
Additionally, Wellness also supports creating Corporate Goals for activities and rewarding them, accordingly, Creating PostNews about future activities, Assessments, Competitions, and Internal Team Goals.<\/p>\n
Note:<\/strong> This Wellness integration will not support all the smartwatches available outside the market. The Supported brands are mentioned below:<\/p>\n

Apple<\/li>\n
Garmin<\/li>\n
Samsung<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
To achieve this integration of the data from the smartwatch to HCM Wellness, perform all the below-mentioned steps.<\/p>\n
To enable this feature in the Wellness, the user must create a developer account on the respective smartwatch websites by providing the below pointers while creating one.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n

Application name:<\/strong> short name, such as Wellness Initiative, that employees will recognize.<\/li>\n
Description:<\/strong> Description of the developer account (Optional)<\/li>\n
Application Website:<\/strong> URL for HCM<\/li>\n
Organization:<\/strong> your company or institution deploying HCM<\/li>\n
Organization Website:<\/strong> URL for your company or institution<\/li>\n
Terms of Service URL, Privacy Policy URL:<\/strong> URLs for the documents defining access to HCM and the applicable organizational privacy policy<\/li>\n
OAuth Application Type:<\/strong> Server<\/li>\n
Callback URL:<\/strong> The URL used to complete the OAuth authorization process \u2013 substitute your HCM instance\u2019s address for the server’s name in the figure.<\/li>\n
Default Access Type:<\/strong> The Wellness connector only needs “Read-Only” access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Give a Save once all the details are filled in the developer account. Once a developer account is created a Client ID and Client Secret will be generated. Those two keys will be used to identify the connector when it accesses the Fitbit API and when the user authorizes access.<\/p>\n
Once the developer account has been created log into the HCM application and create the DI connector. Follow the below process to create it.<\/p>\n

DI Connector:<\/h2>\n

Log in to the application and navigate to My Client GroupPersonal Brand AdministrationData Integration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nFig.4:<\/strong> Data Integrator Section<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Click on the Add button inside the DI connector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nFig.5:<\/strong> Add Section in DI Connector<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Provide the Connector Name, select the connector as per the requirement, and if required user can also add the images over here. Give Save once the details have been filled in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nFig.6:<\/strong> Connector Details Section<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In the Edit Connector page give continue as highlighted below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nFig.7:<\/strong> Edit Connector Page<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Click on continue until the Authentication Details section and fill in the details that the user got from the Fitbit developer account like client secret and API key details as like below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nFig.9:<\/strong> Authentication Details Section<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Click on the Submit button post to finish all the steps mentioned above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nFig.10:<\/strong> Integrated the Fitbit with HCM<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Now, log in as an employee and navigate to the MeWellnessMy Profile page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nFig.11:<\/strong> Wellness Page<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Post entering the My Profile page employees can see the Activity Tracking Service section and a device that has been enabled over there. The employee must click the connect button highlighted in the below image as a reference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Once the connection has been established with the employee\u2019s respective smartwatch accounts, the Activity Tracking Service page will look as below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nFig.13:<\/strong> Connection Establishment View<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The final step is to schedule the Data Connector daily to integrate the data effectively. For running the Data Connector navigate back to the same page where the user has configured the DI Integrator tool in the Personal Brand Administrator page under My Clients Group.<\/li>\n

To enable the Wellness of the employee’s user must assign the Employee Wellness Manager role and for configuring the Data Integrator or enabling the Data Integrator user must and should possess the Manage Workforce Reputation Data Integration privilege.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
