To filter action reasons based on user roles, start by associating the action reasons on the Configure Actions page. Follow these steps to create a new action reason and associate it with a role. Once the role is associated, the relevant action reasons will be visible when updating an object, such as a job or location. For instance, when updating a job, only the pertinent action reasons will be displayed, streamlining the process and ensuring accuracy.<\/p>\n

- On the Home page, click My Client Groups > Workforce Structures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Tips & Considerations<\/strong><\/h2>\n

- There’s no impact on HCM Data Loader (HDL) or HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL) because of this feature.<\/li>\n
- You can associate an action reason with multiple roles but the user needs to have at least one of the roles to see the relevant action reasons.<\/li>\n
- The keyword search doesn’t search for action type on the Configure Actions page. You might need to use the specific filter action type to easily find the right action.<\/li>\n
- Action reasons that aren’t associated with any role will be available to all users.<\/li>\n
- Action reasons aren’t supported for the delete action.<\/li>\n
- If you’re correcting the first date-effective record, then the action reasons for the create action will be listed in the Actions Reasons LOV.<\/li>\n
- When you\u2019re duplicating a record, the action reasons related to the create action will be listed in the Actions Reasons LOV.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
