With 14 PeopleSoft-related sessions, the conference offered a strategic overview, practical demonstrations, and interactive Q&amp;A sessions with Oracle experts.<\/p>\n<p>As the largest independent gathering of Applications professionals in the UK, UKOUG Apps17 delivered a well-curated agenda featuring customer case studies, roadmap discussions, and expert panels. Key themes included the User Interface, Selective Adoption, and PeopleSoft on Oracle Cloud.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Kick-off and Strategy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The PeopleSoft stream began on 6th December, led by Graham Smith.<br \/>\nFollowing this, David Bain presented \u201cPeopleSoft Strategy \u2013 Application &amp; Tools\u201d, sharing valuable insights into the PeopleSoft journey and future.<\/p>\n<p>Key takeaways on the future of PeopleSoft included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intuitive Mobile User Experience<\/li>\n<li>Actionable Embedded Links<\/li>\n<li>Global Search, Alerts &amp; Notifications<\/li>\n<li>Flexible, Personalizable (Fluid) UI<\/li>\n<li>Selective Adoption of New Features (No more major upgrades!)<\/li>\n<li>Seamless Deployment on Oracle Cloud<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We at Kovaion were thrilled to see our customers recognized in Oracle\u2019s Selective Adoption showcase.<br \/>\n#ukoug_apps17<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Customer Stories and Practical Insights<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A highlight session was \u201cWhy PeopleSoft Test Framework is Part of the Hays Selective Adoption Strategy\u201d \u2013 a success story in combining PTF with agile delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Hays emphasized the importance of structured testing using their Model Office, which enables collaboration between functional teams and SMEs to validate PeopleSoft features in a real-world-like setup.<\/p>\n<p>This was followed by Ken de Landro&#8217;s session, \u201cPeopleSoft Test Framework \u2013 A Practical Demonstration\u201d, offering insights into test automation across AP, AR, Billing, and Paybill modules at Hays.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>PeopleTools and Cloud Manager<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>David Bain returned to walk through PeopleTools innovations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PeopleSoft Journey enhancements<\/li>\n<li>Fluid UI (including Classic Plus)<\/li>\n<li>Selective Adoption best practices<\/li>\n<li>PeopleSoft Cloud Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He even illustrated a real-life example of using Fluid UI to pay his daughter\u2019s university fees \u2013 showing how practical and user-friendly the system has become.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Innovation and Community Engagement<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The PeopleSoft Innovation forum was a valuable platform for customers to share ideas and collaborate on improvements. We also recommend engaging with the Quest International User Group for continued learning and networking.<\/p>\n<p>In a captivating session, Graham Smith showcased the PeopleSoft Cloud Manager, drawing fun parallels with drilling in his garden and bakeries generating electricity \u2013 ultimately demonstrating how to spin up a PeopleSoft instance in under 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Kovaion\u2019s Experience Shared<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>I had the pleasure of presenting our session, \u201cEnhance User Experience by Adopting the Latest UI Features\u201d, where I covered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The significance of User Experience and how to measure its ROI<\/li>\n<li>Benefits realized by our customers<\/li>\n<li>Why a leading automobile organization adopted Fluid UI and Mobile<\/li>\n<li>A hands-on demonstration of Fluid UI, Navigation Collection, Related Content &amp; Actions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Closing Remarks<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>David Bain concluded the event with updates on Page Composer (Fluid Approvals), Elastic Search, and PeopleSoft Cloud Manager v5.
