For instance, the (HCM) Team Activity Center requires PER_EDIT_TEAM_ACTIVITY_CENTER_LAYOUT privilege to allow layout edits.

Tips and considerations

This may not be a comprehensive list of tips and considerations, but it covers the most common ones:

Line charts cannot process numeric values on the X-axis. These values must be CAST to CHAR in OTBI for proper functionality. This limitation may also affect other chart types. In some cases, you may need to clear the Category field in the Visualization Configuration tool.

The Tabular Chart type in the visualization tool may display the error: ‘Select values for all the required fields to generate the visualization.’ Currently, there is no known solution for this issue.

The X-Axis LOV in the configuration tool displays only the first eight columns from the OTBI report. If additional columns are needed, you should reorder the columns in the OTBI report.

Some OTBI features are not supported by the visualization tool. The following features are currently unsupported (this list is not exhaustive): View Selector, Column Selector, Drills, Prompts

Upcoming Features

Expanded Page Support Across Modules: Oracle plans to extend support for flexible OTBI visualizations to more Redwood pages, beyond the current releases where it’s available. Notifications will be provided in future What’s New documents when new pages become supported.

Enhanced Roadmap for Supply Chain Modules: Releases 25D and 26A are expected to include enhancements for the Supply and Demand Planning dashboards. Currently, Redwood support in these areas is limited, but full visual and analytic capabilities are anticipated in later releases like 26D.

General Future Enhancements Across Modules: While no specific public roadmap exists for future flexible reporting features, Oracle is steadily enhancing Redwood UX across HCM, SCM, Finance, ERP, and more.

The 25C release introduced Flexible Reporting, and Oracle continues to enhance and broaden Redwood capabilities in future updates.

Business Benefits of Flexible Reporting in Oracle Redwood Dashboards

Real-Time Decision Making: With Oracle Redwood Dashboards, organizations can access real-time analytics directly within Fusion applications. This eliminates delays caused by switching to separate BI tools, empowering managers to act faster and smarter.

Improved User Experience: The Redwood UX provides a modern, intuitive interface that simplifies how employees interact with data. By embedding OTBI visualizations into dashboards, users enjoy a seamless experience without complex navigation.

Contextual Insights Across Modules: Flexible reporting enables contextual analytics in HCM, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
